Taken from :iconwolfpearl:. While watching her she decided to challenge herself by drawing 50 mythical creatures, and it seems like a really interesting idea, so I'm thinking I might try it myself (just with my own modified list of creatures.)
We'll see how that goes though. :XD:

The List:
1. Western Dragon
2. Eastern Dragon
3. Angel
4. Hippogriff
5. Griffin
6. Vampire
7. Unicorn
8. Fairy
9. Mermaid/man
10. Werewolf
11. Phoenix
12. Faun/Satyr
13. Dryad
14. Centaur
15. Basilisk/Cockatrice
16. Minotaur
17. Manticore
18. Harpy
19. Sphix
20. Cerberus
21. Chimera
22. Chupacabra
23. Bunyip
24. Kirin
25. Sirrush
26. Hippocampus
27. Imp
28. Bakeneko
29. Nue
30. Peryton
31. Pixiu
32. Oni
33. Pteripps
34. Questing Beast
35. Roc
36. Rompo
37. Shachihoko
38. Tarasqur
39. Three-legged bird
40. Hyrda
41. Yale
42. Catoblepas
43. Monocerus
44. Zlatorog/Goldhorn
45. Stymphalian birds
46. Jackalope
47. Baku
48. Grindylow
49. Leucrota
50. Pard

I wanted to keep the 2 styles of Dragons seperate, hence different numbers. Also, I wanted to keep humanoid things to a minimum (by humanoid I mean bipedal), so for them (I believe) it's only angels, vampires, oni, fairy, dryads, and imps. I didn't reall think faun/satyrs, centaurs, and other creatures with human parts counted, hence why they're included.
I'm trying to decide whether I want to try and do one a day or not as well. =)
Comments on that or on the list itself are welcome. Laters.

First year of college is done. :w00t: T'was actually rather fun so I'm glad. Final grades & GPA ended up nice and I'm already scheduled for next semester (18 credit hours, but I need the classes). So nothing to worry about except that at the end of the next semester is my Graphic Design admittance review in which I'll find out if I get into the design program or not.

Added some of my recent stuff, Pokemon and caricatures. =)
Caricatures are being done because I have to send in 3 examples with an application for a job as a caricature artist at a local amusment park. I've done Jay Leno & Janice Dickinson, the last one will be of Matthew Broderick. (And no, I don't have anything against any of these people, I just thought they'd be fun to draw) The plus side to that is that they use the same company to find artsy people as the even more local zoo, so I can kill two birds with one stone and apply for both at the same time. :boogie: Hoping to get in as a facepainter/hena tattoo artist/or caricature artist, but I'd gladly work anything they offered since it's art related. Which is not to say that I'll be quitting my job at the restaraunt, this is just a summer job in which I will hopefully be working a buku-lot and can save up oodles of money which is needed for next summer! And it's needed for next summer 'cause I want to go to Scotland on a study abroad trip with the painting/drawing section of the art department at my school. :excited:
Pokemon? Uh, 'cause it's awesome. :XD: There's actually another trainer picture that I would like to color, one that I'm not going to color, and one that I gave to the person it was of 'cause he really liked it. =)

Uh... yeah actually that's it. I just wanted to get my older journal off my front page.

Cold as BUFU!!

GRARGH!! It's so flipping cold here. It's warmer in Denver and that's a city surrounded by mountains! Everyone on the news was talking about how cold it was in DC (14 with the wind-chill) during the inaguration, well it was colder here in KY (9!!)!

Anywho. The new semester has started, and so far it ROCKS! :boogie:

I have my first Computer Graphics class which is really cool so far. We're working in Photoshop painting a picture of ourselves. It's awesome. :w00t:
Antrhopology is amusing so far. We've only had 3 classes and each time there's been an argument based on faith (the latest class was just a day devoted to the debate of evolution vs. creation).
German's still the same so it's a nice subject, but I'm still not used to the teacher and their way of teaching.
My Foundations of Art II and Concepts of Art classes are taught by the same professor and he seems pretty awesome (actually he kinda reminds me of my dad :lmao: ). We're working in clay at the moment making functional objects that somehow go together and it's a lot of fun.
I had a politics class, but I dropped it 'cause, yeah... politics. >_>;;

At home we're cleaning and such. I get to repaint my room as we are getting new carpet (the carpet we have is like, 20 years old and each room upstairs is a different color :puke: ). So I have to pack all my things up for a bit, but I'll still have my laptop so it's no real big deal. Though we might be getting rid of my old computer since I don't use it as much. We haven't really decided yet as I keep a lot of files stored on it (pictures/music/school stuff)

Oo! And my birthday's next Friday! Yay! And my dad is getting me a new art bag with an image by :iconkhaosdog: which is awesome 'cause her bags are the coolest!! My step-dad got me Super Paper Mario for the Wii, which I'm stuck on at the moment, but it's awesome. :D

Off to class I go!! :salute: Laters!

So I just noticed that I've had the same journal since the begining of school, and now the first semester's almost over. So, new journal! :w00t:
The art classes rock, as does English. The others bite. The end.

It's almost Christmas time and I'm stoked 'cause I'm all done with my Christmas shopping. So no more spending money for me. :evillaugh: Which means that the money from the jobs. Yeah, plural, I have two (technically three, but no one has needed me to tutor them) jobs, one as a production person in a resteraunt, and as a clothing associate at Dicks Sporting Goods.

I've decided that I really want to study abroad for a semester (two guesses at where :XD:). So I'm saving moneies (or trying to) like crazy. And I'm stoked 'cause my dad and I were talking about me going out to Germany the summer in '10. Yay! I'll get to see my brother! :w00t: Who is going to be 2 in March and is awesometasticlly cool.

It's cold here. Which is lame. 'Cause it's not snowing. Which is even more lame 'cause then it's just rain/frozen rain and lots of wind. But we've gotten no accumulated snowfall which is...again, Laaaaame!

Uh... I think I was going to say more, but I forgot now. Hmm... Oh well. I should go doodle, and reply to e-mails, and paint a box so it disappears now.

A new adventure has begun in Alley-land. We do hereby welcome you to...

COLLEGE LAND!!! :w00t:

A wonderfull new land filled with underacheiveing classes, psychotic reports, 60 piece art assignments, and all for the low LOW price of your soul. :evillaugh:

Haha. So, totally kidding... kinda. I'm in college now (typing this in my Foundations of Studio Art class) and it's really weird. My language class is a lot easier then I expected, but my honors classes are psychotic. And the 60 piece art project, totally serious. :( It's due next Wednesday (I think... it might be Monday, I don't remember.). On the bright side, I got all my new supplies yesterday. It was AWESOME!! I spent $250 and I'm oh so totally stoked about them that I don't care. x) I even got a new portfolio case. It's got pockets on it!

Anywho. I've been having loads of fun doing badges. They're pretty darn spiffy. I'm planning on heading to Sugoi when it's here and hoping to get some commisions there for 'em.

But for now, it's back to classes and amusingness.
